SFS contacted me in 2018 to update their logo to use for web and print. Previous designs included old movie picture film frames, cumbersome shapes, and typography that needed to be more eye-catching.
With that in mind, I made a simple and modern composition with a reel peeking from behind the summit that represents that the film industry is on the rise in the PNW. I paired it with a thin/bold font to emphasize the word “film” to help give more attention to what the Summit is about. They were pleased with my creation and used it on convention badges, media packets, and social media.
Michelle the owner of Crystallography Gems runs a small business in Seattle. Her goal: “to share high quality, high vibration minerals, gems, and stones.” She came to me with an idea in mind already, a crystal cluster and a fun readable font. I created 4 variations and she picked this mystical font and two different crystal versions for her banner and logo for web use.
A pop-up that had oddities and other interesting creations threw an event for curious collectors to find new things. They reached out to me with zero idea of how they wanted their logo to look. I placed various symbols enclosed in a hexagon to resemble certain things shoppers can find under one roof. They also had me create a poster for the event as well because they were so pleased with how the logo turned out. For that, I wanted to use a yellow background to catch attention and include pictures of vendors to give a better idea of what will be sold.
